Online Counselling Service
I have discovered an online counselling service, run by professionals who hold degrees social work and psychology and work as counsellors in real life.
The site is totally free, and all you need to do is register. Everything is kept confidential, and security measures are in place to help this. You make an appointment with a counsellor (usually a few days ahead of the dateyoure on the site), which lasts for an hour (most counselling sessions are an hour long anyway). I hope this can be of some use to people who are not currently seeing anyone, or have not quite got the confidence to go to the doctors. the site is http://www.ec2.org.sg/eC2/index.php P.S - When registering, if you are in the UK, don't leave a space in your postcode as it wont accept it. And if you cant find the confirmation email check your junk/spam folder Laura x |
Thanks - that's really useful x
|
ive been looking for something like this!
thanks =) |
It doesn't accept my postal code nor any American postal code so ehhh it's basically worthless, imo then.

Try putting in a fake English one then - im not sure if it works, but it doesnt ask for any other part of your address.
Try ha27ps English postcodes are usually "letter letter number number letter letter" So try a combination! |
for those in australia under 18...kidshelpline is online too. only at certain times. but no appointment needed. they dont really ask ur age or nething tho. xxx
|
I would like to try this .. i know the whole point is that you dont know who your talking to... but you dunno if they are genuine or anything :S

Try SK17 9EA, it's my old school's postcode lol :D
This looks like quite a good idea, although I've not received the confirmation email yet... |
The site says it's for young people from Singapore :/

Hahaha, ah well. I guess we're all from Singapore then :whistling: |
So all the appointment times are in Singapore time, right?
|
yeah, I'm a little confused about that as well... it says my appointment is at 5 on tuesday, but i don't know what time zone that is. x.x
|
I'd been looking for something like this, but seeing it's fomr singapore, well...I don't know if it'll work. Thanx though.
|
did anyone find if this worked?
|
Yeah it looks a bit dodgy to me
|
YES!
Laura, thank you! I have been looking for this page for a while! (Ever since someone else from here wanted an online counselling page) I've only ever used it a couple of years ago but it certianly works, and it tells you how many hours till your appointment, so if you're in a different timezone you can count the hours. Woah, I still remember my username and password! *grins* Thanks for pointing this out, I appreciate it! Aimee xoxo Also, in regards to what redsox have said, Kidshelpline (for Australian members) does ask for your age at the beginning when you log in, and it's only open for certian hours. |
if somebody uses this some time soon, like gets an appointment and talks to somebody, could they just post an update and let us know when they used it and sort of how it worked/what happened? pretty please?
