i can relate but having been there the idea of it is much worse than than actually being there. it takes a while but after a few days you might find yourself getting back into the swing of it.

I just want to say I'm in the same position as you, been in hosp for over a year and getting out in May, absolutely terrified.
I hope things get easier for you. PM me if you ever wanna talk. x |
I was the opposite, when I came out of hospital after being in for two years I was so excited to be home. This lasted a couple of days and then I found I couldn't cope. But I just wanted to let you know that the more time goes by, the easier it gets. I used support from my cmht and family. My friend was the same also, she was very depressed when she came out of hospital to live in a flat alone, but she soon settled down and she's quite happy now.
Ask people to help you structure your days and have something planned to do, even if its just a walk in the park or a bit of shopping, it really helps x |
Try and stay as occupied as possible. Make a routine for yourself and make sure that you have support around you. Take care.
