When someone says "How did you get that scar?"

"Oh, it was nothing..Voldemort tried to kill me as a baby."

You can add "Multiple times" on the end of that sentence for numerous scars ;D

[Desolation.] 27-09-2010 09:08 PM

Bellatrix 27-09-2010 09:20 PM

Bleeding Angel 27-09-2010 09:22 PM

Left Phalange 27-09-2010 09:25 PM

Who the hell is Harry Potter? Voldemort tried to kill me.

MunchBox 27-09-2010 09:31 PM

Haha damn that Voldermort, he's always trying to get me!

Feel_Good_inc. 27-09-2010 09:35 PM

Damn, wish I thought of that.
So much better than my "Battled with a rabid cat" excuse.

Tried to have sex with a hedgehog, and well er, didn't go down so well.

I'mJustMe 27-09-2010 10:05 PM

I find that no one believes me even when I tell the truth. I have a bottle of pills and someone wanted some painkillers, so I have them some from my bottle and they asked why I had so many. I told them it was just in case I ever just couldn't do it anymore and that I need the security that they bring knowing I can end it at any time. They laughed. I wasn't joking.

Anyway, sorry for that downer to a light hearted thread. I'll post something happier now. I tell people that Charlie bit me.

sherlock holmes 27-09-2010 10:20 PM

Best excuse ever.

DestroyMe 27-09-2010 10:27 PM

I usually say I fell into a barbed wire fence..I'm klutzy so they believe me
either that or "well....uh...some bondage play that went horridly wrong.."
usually shuts them up XD

Good idea. :tongue2: No one has asked me about the scars now they're healed, but when they were new, I was asked a few times and I either didn't answer or blamed it on my cats:

(must have been an obvious lie, but people obviously found it easier to accept than to ask if my ''cat'' was actually a lion)

PS Choley: I like Russell Howard too: hes strangely cute and funny and has a sensitive view on the world. A great combination. :-)

Gone. 27-09-2010 11:06 PM

Yes. Mine are always blamed on my cats but Voldemort is so much better (and obviously more realistic) :)

Mrs Sam 27-09-2010 11:31 PM

I reply

"your face"

GoldDustReturnz 27-09-2010 11:33 PM

I've given people elaborate, in depth explanations before. They didn't believe me.

"What scars? I don't have any scars? I don't know what you're talking about..."

Throw them into an existential crisis. Result!

Asura 27-09-2010 11:50 PM

This one time, at band camp...

Lucius. 28-09-2010 12:16 AM

ahaha, I love that xD

If someone asked me, I'd probably just quote the joker's 'wanna know how I got these scars?' speech.

Nic. Marry me.

My personal favourite is 'I fell in a blender'. One guy believed this for about a month. Nice guy, but not the brightest penny.

Loved yours too Jo.

sherlock holmes 28-09-2010 09:42 AM

I've always liked "the clowns got me in my sleep".

Feel_Good_inc. 28-09-2010 09:48 AM

"I'm sorry but the confidentiality agreement I've signed with the government prevents me from revealing that. I've already said too much."

badbadkitty13 28-09-2010 01:28 PM

hilarious thread, but why are we discussing scars in General?

last year around halloween I had several stitches in my arm. Someone asked why, as if it wasnt obvious, so I said I got carried away making my Sally costume (from nightmare before christmas) ... got me a laugh, high-five, and a few free shots of tequila (was at a devils night party)

Left Phalange 28-09-2010 02:14 PM

Because I figured the word 'scar' wouldn't offend or trigger anyone (Although, you never know on this site) and because it's a lighthearted thread. :) Even if it is about scars.

sweepingly 29-09-2010 06:05 PM

"I used to work in a zoo," is my go to excuse.

Or, "I had unprotected sxx with a porcupine," which usually just earns a blank stare.

PrincessTitch 29-09-2010 10:05 PM

My mate asked me when she first met me..
'Aww Chels how'd you get those scars?'
'How'd I get my scars, I think the question is, how did you get yours?'
She got really confused because she doesn't have any.
That was my 'Secret agent' moment of my life ^^

lozza 29-09-2010 11:19 PM

lol!!!! love the different excuses

haha and love the government one!!
