anxiety and sleep
Whenever I try to go to sleep I feel anxious. It's worse when I have set my alarum. I listen to my Ipod which helps a lot but some nights I take ages to get to sleep.
Does anyone have any suggestions for helping with this? If it's really bad I take diazapam but obviously thats not a long term solution. |

I had similar problems before, I was experiencing extreme insomnia due to my anxiety issues. I normally don't take medications since I experience many different side-effects from them. What I did is I opted to try some alternative medicines. Herbal tea, milk infused with honey, Endoca hemp oil, and melatonin are some of the things I took that helped me sleep. I also tried meditation and hot bath before going to sleep. :) |
Do you have a bedtime routine? I find having the tv on quite helpful, or reading in bed for a bit to wind down.
Is it anything in particular that makes you anxious about sleeping? |
