What should I have in a first aid kit?
It’s a good idea to keep a stock of things so you’ve always got what you need there when you cut. An example of what you’d need is as follows;
Non-Adherant (non-stick) Wound Dressing Pads Melolin
Adhesive DressingsTubi-grip bandage (UK) that are the right size to hold dressings in the area you cut or an ACE Wrap Bandage (USA)
Medical Tape (Micropore / Zinc-Oxide Tape)
Steri-strips/ Butterfly stitches/ Closure strips
Anti-bacterial cream
Sterile GauzeWound wash

Pharmacy’s/Drug Stores/ many supermarkets should sell everything listed here. If you don’t see it ask someone who works there.

I’m really scared, shaking, the room feels like it’s closing in on me, I can’t calm down and catch my breath. What’s happening? What should I do? Am I going to die?
That sounds like a panic attack.
You should get somewhere where you are calm and try breathing into a paper bag; that should help to settle your breathing down. Don’t have a drink or eat until you are breathing normally again as you are at risk of breathing it in.
If possible talk to a friend or someone who can calm you down.
Try to concentrate on steadying your breathing ie. Breathe in for 5 seconds, then out for 5 seconds.
Also, try to distract yourself from whatever is causing the problem.
