If there was no reason for sacking you then you can go to an industrial tribunal. I don't now the ins and outs but it may well be worth going to the citizens advice beaureau to see if they can give you some info. However, I'm sure you just want a job, however, if you didn't like the lady who may be offering you the job then it could make everything a whole lot worse.
How big is the town, would moving there mean that you would have to see these people? Honestly, a job maybe your income, but it's not your life and you need to make sure that you don't put yourself in situations where you know you're not going to be happy. Think seriously about whether you want this job, because even though it may seem like the only option, it's not, another one will come along.
