school holidays

has anyone any idea what i can do with my 11 year old son over the summer holidays...i can't think of anything...total brain freeze

does he like sport? over here, leisure centres often run cheap activity days during the holidays. or send him out with friends. and science museums, if they've got exhibitions they have to do stuff with, like building dinosaurs. my brother loves that kind of thing. or sign him up to a club, whatever he's interested in, chess, warhammer, crafts, reading.

I just read your post and I was thinking it was an old one someone's trawled up because you said summer holiday! But then I realised you were in Australia! LOL

How about taking him swimming? My much younger sister is 11 and she's perfectly happy sitting at home playing computer games. It's a lot of work to drag her out, but once she's out she enjoys swimming, sport in general, and visiting interesting places. She also likes drawing.

Organize a water baloon fight thing with him and some of his friends.. And then have a BBQ or something.
