Covering up advice
I'm on my schools dance team and next weekend is our state competition...
We are wearing a halter top dress and my arms have cuts on them..the other girls on the team would believe me if i made up some sort of story..
but my parents thought that i stopped when they found out...and if they see them i'll be in even more trouble than i already am...
so does anyone have any suggestions how i can cover up my arms?
thanks

could you possibly wear a sweatshirt until you get away from your parents, then take it off for the competition, and put it back on before you meet up with yout parents again?

You could use concealer and makeup to camouflage them, it wouldnt hide them totally, but would make them a bit less noticeable. Maybe you could just tell your parents that you're still cutting and take it from there. What would they say?

I assume that you'd be performing on a stage and therefore your parents will be some distance away from you. Concealer or make-up would make the cuts less noticable, and they'd already be less noticable from far away and with all the moving around you'll be doing.
What would your parents do if they found out? Perhaps it may not be such a negative thing if they can help to support you.

I've done performances for handbells wearing short sleeves. I used a band aid to cover up one larger cut and just a light foundation on the rest.
oh, and I stood with my arms crossed a whole lot. :) Obviously not an option while performing, but you could do that backstage.
