I haven't had it happen yet. What section/page are you trying to access when this happens?
Well it breaks my heart to see you this way,
The beauty in life, where's it gone?
And somebody told me you were doing okay,
Somehow I guess they were wrong.
Very sorry for the issues - James has been doing a major update behind the scenes to upgrade all the mail systems which send all RYL mail and the interfaces the staff use to deal with everything.
At the same time he has upgraded the server to be running in full 64bit rather than 32bit - which has a host of advantages.
RYL's server runs a lot of stuff, and the upgrade wasn't as smooth as he would have liked. The exact reason he didnt do the normal 5 in the morning job he prefers for reboots etc.
He is polishing off the last few issues from the upgrade now, but all RYL services are back up and running and will stay that way now. So everything back to normal... but better!
But again, really sorry for any inconvenience caused to anyone from the both of us,
“Never lose faith in yourself,
and never lose hope;
remember, even when this world throws its worst and then turns its back,
there is still always hope.”
Am not sure if its just me, but i'm finding it exceptionally hard to get into RYL at all just now no matter what search engine i com through, whether it be MSN, google or whatever, the site just does not want to load and i'm sometimes not getting in for hours at an end, (no exageration, happened both today and Friday) and when i am in sometimes when i'm trying to load a new page nothing is happening! Have tested by using other sites and they're working fine, so i'd assume that would rule out an internet problem?
I've got stuff going on for the next couple of hours but I may be able to provide you with a remote support session if you are available later this afternoon?
There are no system issues here and given the number of users we serve pages to here at RYL, 99.9% of problems reported are caused by a user's broadband connection or system configuration I'm afraid, despite your experience with other sites (RYL is very javascript heavy for one thing).
I'll do what I can do to help though of course :) Please post back here if you're likely to be around later and I will PM you when I can next get back online.
