Seriously, all these stories we hear of someone fainting on a train and people ignoring them, keeping their eyes averted when they see someone they 'should' help etcetc. You'd think all Englanderers/Idon'tknowifit'sthesameelsewhere were evil.
But I threw up on the train today [yes i'm fit, lets not go into it], and these two women who were strangers to each others as well as me, gave me a bag, gave me, tissues, gave me wipes, gave me their water, helped me off the train, carried my bag, sat me down, talked to me, etcetcetc. They both had places to be, and they were both strangers.
Similar happened when I fainted on the tube - and the woman wouldn't let me leave the platform until she'd made sure I was okay.
I just shouldn't travel in London...
Either way it just made me happy to see that despite the stories, not everyone's a cold hard...nasty person :)
Any stories of random acts of kindness?
"Be nice. Think happy thoughts. Champion silver linings. Love all things (not just cute things like babies and kittens) & when you do love - love like they do in power ballads (you know like on a cliff with the wind in your hair and your eyes shut, knowing you'll never know love like this). Watch out for dog poo. Smile at people - even grumpy ones. Remember anything is possible & whatever you do always try to look on the bright side."
Erm...I once helped some random people change a wheel because they didn't know how, and I got really muddy and didn't have the right tools which made it much harder.
Turned out that they owned a pizza shop and I got a free pizza - good times.
I think I've done lots of random acts of kindness, until I realised that no one actually cares if you're kind or not so I gave up.
Old people are so bloody rude.
Thanx Aimee - flippin cheek, you're lucky I love you. It was in a bag?
Thankyou for the well wishes too guys :]
I'm not feeling much better, and am pretty much being forced to go home at work - although i'm fighting them - but it'll pass i'm sure.

ahh noo <33 *cuddles* go home and come on msn to me.
Londoners are mean. i talked to a guy on a train and he looked at me like i had 4 heads and cut me down, and i got closed in the tube doors and nobody even flinched >.< uncool.
but here, pretty much everyone will help you out with anything you need...
Nope, no acts of kindness, but then again I've never been sick on a train :p
I gave up my seat for an old lady once and she tried to give it back to me. That was weird. She was asking me if I was okay and wanted to sit back down, I was fine though.
Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…
you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.
I was sat on a bench crying once and someone came and sat with me, told me stupid jokes and gave me cigarettes til I felt better lol. Otherwise that's about it. I don't live in a very nice area though, people try and stay out of everyone's way!
Feel better soon! xxx

I always offer "Free Hugs" to people that look upset or are crying int he street. Started as an experiement when I did sociology about breaking the "norms" of society, but it just makes people feel nice and that they can cope a little longer, you know?
Dont be fooled...I may look new....but I was a RYL member a long time ago!

Not me, but my friend was sick on the train home after a night out a while ago, us being useless, didn't have a bag/facewipes/water (though we did have vodka we didn't think it'd help) but this woman opposite us gave us bags, hair clips, face wipes, water, the lot!
Hope you're feeling better!
Yesterday I was really nervous because it was my first day in the new course and a guy asked if I wanted to sit next to him, so I did. The bad thing is I can't remember his name :|
When I left leeds to come back to kent and had to leave my (now ex) bf i was hysterically crying and upset and this elderly couple looked after me all the way to london and gave me and sandwich and boiled sweets lol. was so sweet.
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
