Anime Cosplay

This is exceptionally nerdy, yes. Go ahead and laugh, I will wait. . . . . *stands in corner whistling* Oh are you done? Okay good.

My friends and I may go to an Anime Convention this fall (Oni-Con). And I REALLY want to cosplay. But I can't think of who to cosplay. So I thought I might ask for ideas here.

Male or Female is fine, really (I am female, but I've cosplayed as Remus Lupin before). I have shoulder-length dark hair but I'm not adverse to wearing a wig. The big thing though is that I don't want to have to spend a fortune on a costume and I also don't want to have to do a really skimpy costume (I don't have the body for it and my friend's dad will be chaperoning us).

So does anyone have some ideas? Because I'm totally lost on who to cosplay as.

Don't do it unless you have a kick ass costume. I mean, you'll still look like a prat but less so :P

Who are your greatest heroes/heroines?

If I was to cosplay I'd probably cosplay as Aries from FF7 (apparently I'm a FF geek heh...). Yeee! Have fun if you go ^_^

I thought about FF people, but I could never pull it off, haha. I'm currently thinking about Suzumiya Haruhi because I found a costume for her. And my friends have frequently compared me to her.

I love manga, more than anime, but anime is still great!

Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I have hair like yours and no one seems to care about it if you have a kickass dress!

Or Duke Devlin from Yu-Gi-Oh (if you're a complete nerd like I am). He has long dark hair and is TOTALLY SMEXY!

Haruhi's quite a good one.
