Triggering (SI) - Is purging self harm? *possible trig*
Not sure if this a stupid question or not.
but i waas having a bath before and i started choking myself, trying to hurt my self, and then i stuck my finger down my throat to gag myself, and then i thew up. i didnt do this because im trying to loose weight its nothing to do with that, i was just trying to hurt myself to feel pain.
sorry if this is a stupid thread
i was just wondering

Yeah it is hun. As Katy said, if you were doing it to hurt yourself, as you were, then it was self harm.
Look after yourself xx

I understand how are u feeling rach, i don't have a healthy relation with food, but at some times i used to eat just to throw up, because that was the only way that i could hurt myself with, and i starve myself to hurt myself too..
But not always...

*Holds Rach && Roby* Please be careful both of you.
Purging is extremely dangerous && extremely addictive.
*squishes*
But yes i agree with the others above. If the purging is not related to food then yes it is a form of self harm.
I even see some eating disorders as a form of self harm. As for some people it isn't about the weight/how they look. It's about how they feel they should be punished.
I think there is a fine line between eating disorders && self harm.
I believe that's why alot of people get eating disorders when they are recovering from self harm or vice versa.
Take care of yourself<3
