Life isn't working right now

I feel like my life is in a rut right now. Right now I'm living at home with parents working full time at a call center. I work night shifts mostly from 4 pm to 1 am. When I get home I spend 4-5 hours playing video games and then go to sleep for like 10 hours and then it starts all over again. I often plan to get out of bed at like 1 pm so I can do a few chores but I can never do it, even if I go to bed a little earlier. I don't get any exercise and that makes me feel like crap. Life just doesn't feel like it should...

Just about every week I call in sick at least 1 day either because I just don't feel like getting out of bed on time or I feel depressed, or both. Yesterday I called in sick cause the cops told my family this court case we are involved in probably won't work out cause all our evidence is circumstantial. My family is involved in a nasty court case involving a large amount of money stolen, hundreds of thousands of dollars, that was stolen from a family member which we will probably lose because although we have plenty of evidence that she, our accountant, was the culprit, no one saw her do it and that's all the cops care about.

*sighs* I'm at work right now and felt the need to post for some support today. Any advice or ideas?

my work screws up my body clock to so i just kinda ignore the clock if i feel like doing some exercise and its 3am or feel like cooking a roast i just do it, i think the exercise will help, you could get a home gym if your budget doesnt strecth to that, ebay? and you dont nessacerealy need equipment to work out google can give you lots of ideas, try and be realistic with yourself maybe do your chores before you go to sleep, set yourself achievable goals.
i wouldnt worry about the court case thing, its a bad thing and your family have been unlucky, but lifes a **** sometimes, its out of your hands, remember its how we cope during the tough times that are important and thats what shows your character, chin up mate.

oh ps get the irs on the accountant if they think there owed money they dont leave any stone unturned , you may not get your money back but atleast you screw the accountant over!

There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there.

Well, to start on a positive note, you're in a routine, which is going to be helpful to you however the trouble with this is that the regularity is going to make the cycle harder to break.

As you've described certain feelings of sadness etc. and you're finding it hard to get out of bed and such, I would suggest that you go and see your GP and describe what is going on, as it may be that this stressful time for you has sparked a depression or something else and it maybe recommended that you talk to someone. I'm not entirely sure what's wrong, but something isn't right and therefore needs to be sorted.

Do you think you could talk to a GP? Or if not someone close to you? Maybe they could go with you.

Alternatively, if talking about your feelings helps, you can use the chat systems on RYL or Live Assistance, for more direct response.

In the mean time, to try and help yourself, maybe you could try cutting down your sleep to just 8 or 8 hours, and adapting your routine to include less video games, which will increase the benefits of your sleep, and maybe write in going for a walk or reading. Just little things that will break the cycle, but still keep your atrong sense of routine?

I hope something here made sense or helped.
If you need me, feel free to PM.

Take care, Luce xoxox

Have you seen the way they kiss in the movies?
