I don't think either one is worse its just the way they are managed and how the person copes with them. Do you feel like you may be experiencing symptoms of these ? x

Well, BPD is basically an attachment disorder, and effects the way you relate with people. There's a lot of insecurity and anxiety and anger. People can from time to time when under stress lose touch with reality or dissociate.

Or, do you mean Bipolar? Bipolar is where you can swing between different extreme mood states - depression, excitement, intense anger. Psychosis may or may not be a symptom.
Psychotic depression is where you're pretty much in a constant state of depression, and have psychosis - hallucinations, hear voices, and/or feel paranoid, as well.

What do you feel about your symptoms? How do you feel about how you're doing?

Like longing tears is saying, it doesn't necessarily mean you're getting 'better' or 'worse' it just means that right now you have different symptoms, or even that you might have something that's close to both disorders and so could it's possible that one psych would diagnose you as one and another, the other. The tricky thing about almost all mental health problems is that they are on a continuum, it's not like chicken pox where you either have it or you don't, some people might be a little bit depressed for example, but wouldn't show enough symptoms to be diagnosed.

Do you think you could talk to your psych about this? Do you know if he is aware of your previous diagnosis of BPD? If you feel like you could, talking it through with him and why he gave you this diagnosis may help you be more comfortable with it.

Hope this helps
xx
