ITS BEDTIME!

Try telling that to my 3mth old son!
he hates going to bed.
he has had his nappy changed he's drank a full 7once bottle and all he
wants to do is play!
i put him in his cot and he crys and screams til he's sick. When i pick
him up he laughs.
he doesnt understand that mummy is so tired that all she wants to do is
curl up in a ball and cry so much the place gets flooded and she drowns!
then i look at his face and i have so much love for him i cuddle him
and say"mummy loves you but its sleep time cheeky monkey"
he doesnt understand
i wish had more help from people its hard when your on your own.
theres no such thing as me time and you have to get everything done.
i would love to sit and read a book or write some poetry.
right this moment i,m drinking a cold cup of tea trying to rock baby to
sleep waiting for kettle to boil to make babys bottle up and posting
this.
i still have to wash dishes and sort clothes out!
yesterday i was ill being sick.my baby was crying and i was throwing up
in the toilets.i was so angry and upset my baby needed me but i couldnt
go to him.
i tried asking someone for help but noone did.
it just gets to much sometimes.
what would happen if i had a nervous breakdown baby would have noone.
so i have to keep it together and that just makes things even harder.
you know whyat he's just been sick everywhere

That's sounds tough. You are amazing and very brave.
I hope you get some sleep tonight.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't it sometimes a good idea to let themselves cry out? Particularly when they've been put to bed and just don't want to sleep? I'm not sure if he's old enough yet, but I know that it's helpful to get them out of bad habits to let them cry until they fall asleep when they're refusing to settle.

I may be off the mark, and I know how hard it is to listen to a baby cry, so sorry if I'm wrong!

Do you have any sort of support from social services at all? Not in the sense that you need monitoring, but in the sense that they can help? It sounds like you're struggling, and that's ok, you're doing well, but no one is expected to cope with a baby all by themselves.
