When faced with something difficult... [a message to everyone].
You can either take the easy way out, roll over and take it lying down.
Or you can fight. And fight. To make it work out for you. To come through it and look back and laugh at how it didn't destroy you.
You can work through it, or you can give up.
You can give it another chance, or you can end it there and then and wonder "what if...?".
I refuse to take things lying down. I'm stronger than that. I REFUSE not to fight.
So, Paul. **** you. Yes, I will see you in like, a week and a half. Yes, I am ****ing shitting myself, but I'll come out of this the stronger person.
& Nan, I'm going to go see you anyway. It won't be as I wanted it but I still want to see you and say goodbye properly. There may not be anyone to hold me, to cuddle me and to tell me it's okay, but I'll deal with it.
Some things in life are worth fighting for.
I WILL get a good grade in the January exams. I will channel everything I'm feeling right now into working my arse off. The more **** you give me the more I'll have to channel into it and then I'll be the one laughing.
If you do one thing this christmas, make a promise to yourself to fight. Fight and fight and fight until you can't fight any more and then fight some more. Because then, at least you tried.
