if you ever bullied someoen can you take this quick questionaire please?*possible bullying triggers*

hi guys
this is posted in A+B too, but after a mods suggestion i posted it here too.

im currently writing soemthign fro my school on their bulling policy (which is rubbish) so i was wondeirng if anyoen who had actually bullied someoen before would answer a few questions for me? i would be very greateful, and replies can be here or thorugh PM, where it will eb kept compeltley confidential. any answers givein will ONLY be used in soemthign i give to my school, and i dotn really want them knowing i use RYL, so it definatly will be kept annonymous.

1. did you bully because you had issues yourself or because it was jsut fun/something to do to pass the time.

2. at the time did you realise how much what you did could affect the person? did you realise what you were doing was actually bullying?

3. would being suspended have stoped you, or would you have enjoyed the time off?

4. what might have stopped you?

5. did your parents know? and if they did, how did they react?

6. where the teachers ever told? if so how did they react, and was it sucsessful/unsucsessful?

7. did you conciously chose the person(s) you bullied, or did they do something that caused the kind of 'snowball' efect.

8. if you did chose, why that person(s)

9. what form/forms of bullying did you use. i.e. physical/verbal/isolation/rumour spreading ect.

10. where you bullied yourself before/afterwards?

11. why did you stop bullying them?

if you do do this, thank you so much, as i understand it isnt an easy thing to talk about.

I did it because I had an issue with myself. It was a big problem between me and an ex and the girl wound up being involved in it and I bullied her.

2. at the time did you realise how much what you did could affect the person? did you realise what you were doing was actually bullying?
I knew exactly what I was doing when I did it. I knew what kind of effect it had on her and I know that if it wasn't bullying then at the very least it was intimidation.

3. would being suspended have stoped you, or would you have enjoyed the time off?
She lived about a block away from me, so being suspended wouldn't have effected me. I would have called my friends and gotten them to do it for me.

4. what might have stopped you?
Nothing really. It was the only way that I could think of to resolve the situation. Not a very good idea.

5. did your parents know? and if they did, how did they react?
My dad found out at one point and he said "You called A**** a slut?! You have to go apologize!" And my response was "I'm 16 years old, you can't make me do things for the rest of my life." He kind of gave up at that point.

The teachers never knew. They probably saw it, but they didn't do anything about it.

I picked her because of the situation.

For all intents and purposes, she had stolen my boyfriend and it sort of devolved from there.

I called her every name under the sun. I started rumors about her and I told my friends that if they spoke to her then they weren't my friends anymore. So basically, we made her life as miserable as possible. I would laugh at her everytime she came in the room and if she sat next to us she'd get the attitude of "Yeah, you don't belong here. You belong waaaayyy over there."

10. where you bullied yourself before/afterwards?
I was bullied many years before.

11. why did you stop bullying them?
I'll be honest, it got old and it got boring. My friends pretty much said "Ok, you've vented your frustration about B**** on A**** and we're done watching you do this to her. Get a better hobby"

I had issues myself and bullying just helped make me deal with it.

Yes I guess I knew it was bullying, but then I wanted to hurt the person as she hurt me.

I almost got suspened for it but i was suspended every other week (near enough) anyway. Having time of just ment more sleep and more time doing things with my dad.

Teachers involvement finally stopped me.

dad said I should have hit the girl harder. Mum was disapointed.

Once the situation climaxed and every girl in my year were standing behind me in the changing room, going 'fight fight fight' the teachers found out. The teachers tried to do alot to help like doing mediation between her and me as we shared alot of friends. Sadly it was unsucessful and we decided to keep away from each other.

They irritated me and I snapped and it went from there.

verbal, isolated and then finally physical.

before, during and afterwards. Although once I hit the girl alot of people who did bully me, stopped.

I didn't feel that I needed too, I was going to get expelled from school if it carried on. I had my friends and she had hers and we kept away from each other. We did eventually sort it out and become really good mates but now we've drifted apart.
