In forgiving others, we are not exonerating them. They may not deserve exoneration. Rather, in forgiving others we are giving up our anger over the fact that what happened is not what "should" have happened or that our life is not the way it "should" have been.

havent felt anything yet, although i could tell the sonographer where the head was because if i lie on that side i can feel a round thing sticking into me.

baby was being awkward because they did 4 quick sweeps and took photos (she took 4 different pictures which was nice because they're only supposed to take one and copy it) for us. you can see the times on the photos, they're all done within 40seconds, in that time baby has gone from lying in profile to having turned face inwards.

she managed to get the brain, legs and abdomen cross section (to check kidneys, liver etc) and the spine. took about 10mins to get both arms but she coudlnt see the heart or front of the abdomen (to check the muscles cover over and nothing pokes out) because the cord was in the way and baby was the wrong way round. for the same reason she couldnt tell gender.

i even went and emptied my bladder and tried again incase the pressure of a full bladder was causing baby to turn away. nothing changed though.

sooo 2 weeks and hopefully we get to find out. here's another fairly good pic from the scan, mand x

mand...baby looks tiny!!!
how much amniotic fluid u carrying?
it looks like ur womb aint stretched much either.....but im sure that will all change soon enough :D
as long as they were happy with baby's development.

did you cry?

no i didnt cry and they didnt say anything about development. they asked my due date and said 'not far off' so i dont know if they were referring to the due date being soon or the due date being about the same as the scan.

i have to go back anyway so i'll ask. i'm 19weeks and 3days now, so halfway there in a few days eek. mand x

ask them what they meant by not being "not far off" it could mean baby is either big for the dates or small for the dates! but if they dont seem bothered then i dont think its a problem....you should have got a measurement of you amniotic fluid! and womb size!
has it not been written in your red book?
they should put it in there.

ask them questions if you dont understand what they mean.....just to give you piece of mind. they will be happy to answer any questions you have.

but yes.....im bettin on you having a girl...and i think vic is too. :P

they don't start womb measurements until 24weeks here if at all and my book is green lol. I've had a feeling for a while that it could be a boy but we'll see. Hopefully!

they should have started mesurements by now.....its how they can tell if there will be problems in the future or not...plus they need to measure the aniotic fluid..incase its low nd they need to do an amniofusion.
kick there arses into gear mand.....they should be checking all this at this point...

dontmean to scare you but it can be dangerous if they dont check it.....didnt they check it at your first scan? they should have done.

Gothic Angel, i know recently they have changed the books and aren't like what they used to be. So maybe that's why?

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo broody, I'm desperate for a baby (and no one say I'm too young, i've had that from my mother) I think its a boy mand, you should be really proud of yourself for producing such a gorgeous sprog, even at 19 weeks you can tell its gonna be a beauty!

Big broody hugs
Mary
