clopixol and weight loss
I have been on 500mg depot for a couple of months now.
Recently I have noticed that some of my clothes have become too big and today I kept on having to pull up my trousers and knickers because they kept on falling down.
I just tried on a pair of trousers that were too small and although they're a bit tight they fit me fine whereas before I had trouble getting them on.
My question is can clopixol cause weight loss? It caused weight gain when I was on a lower dose. I haven't changed my diet lately or increased my exercise.

I just checked my medication app and it doesn't seem to mention weight gain or loss (which I find odd, as that must be the first AP I've seen to not list weight change as a possible side effect). I googled it and changes in appetite/weight were mentioned on a site I found, so your weight loss could be linked to the clopixol. Do you think you have been eating the same amount of food as previously? Do you have any other symptoms such as extreme thirst?

Thanks Jenna.
Yes I have been eating the same. No changes in thirst.
I checked the leaflet which my trust produced - so not produced by the manufacturer and it lists weight gain as being a side effect but doesn't say anything about weight loss.

It can very rarely cause weight loss.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.
I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.
