can't let wounds heal without interfering
I can't seem to let any wounds heal without picking at it while it heals... even if it hurts I still pick at the scab. I do it with any wound. I do it even if my doctor tells me I'm at risk for infection. Does anyone else do this? Am I crazy?

I do this too. You're not crazy at all.
Is there a particular time when you're most likely to do it, like when you are stressed?

Most times yes. There are sometimes that I do it just because. Most times it's when I'm stressed or angry.

Can you keep it covered with a plaster? Might help for their to be an extra step between wanting to interfere with wounds and actually doing so. Or if that isn't enough, maybe bandage it up quite enthusiastically, so it's a real chore (and a waste of dressings) to take it all off to pick at scabs.

I do this, lots. I am currently nursing a massive scab on my head where I dug my nails in and kept interfering.
Can't offer any advice more than what's above. You're not alone though.

Thats a good idea....right now my doctor wants me to cover up a scab from scratching myself up during the day but she wants me to let it get air at night. Having the gauze on it during the day def helps and stops me from picking, plus the stuff I'm putting on it to help it heal softens that scab and it stays on the gauze..... It's just at night that I've been tempted to lately... The past few nights I've been doing ok with leaving it alone....

I used to do this too! It doesn't make you crazy, it's just another form of self injury. Try putting a plaster over the wound, so it is not as easy to take the scab off...Please please try to stop this, as it leaves you with much worse scars than normal cutting etc, as the skin tries to heal over and over again. You won't want those scars in a few years time hun trust me! x

The only advice I have has already been stated. But, know that you're not alone.
