Has anyone ever bought something from this website? I was thinkin about getting a bracelet. But if it comes in the mail an it's marked as recover your life, then idk if I wanna get one..
I've never bought anything but have received something from the site. It did not come marked as RYL or anything and the return address was, I believe, stated for Harley or Tony. It came in a regular, plastic packing envelope that easily fit in the mailbox. :)
Awesome thanks guys! I've wanted a bracelet for such a long time. Is a Jiffy bag see thru? Like when it comes in the mail can u see the bracelet? Or have to open the orange envelope? It'll have my name on it right? An the return says tony or Harley?
Thanks guys! Thank you
Looks like it comes in a clear bag inside another, mailing/packing bag, which aren't see through. The one I remember getting was white and grey, opaque. The time I received an item was years and years ago. It sounds like there will be no identifying markings on the packaging or inside the packaging to let anyone know where it's from or what it might contain or what it is related to.
Mine came in a white padded envelope, with my name and address on the front and inside was my bracelet in a small clear bag to keep it safe. No other markings or addresses or anything like that, and no note inside.
It didn't have any return address or anything on it so don't worry about that. If you need to return it, you can find the address and such in the shop FAQ i believe.

Just so that everyone is clear, we treat all individual's relationships with RYL as entirely their own business, not to be broadcast or "exposed" in any way to anyone else. People's exposure or concealment of their membership of the site re their families is their own affair, not ours.
Therefore shop orders go out entirely anonymously in plain white padded Jiffy bags which measure approx 6" x 8". The only marking on the bag is the recipients name and address, written in black felt-pen in my own fair (or not so fair) hand. There is no "return to sender" address on the bag. The bags we use are opaque and only by deliberately holding them up against a very bright light can you just perhaps determine that they contain bracelets. Tattoo only orders are sent in a plain white A4 envelope, mixed orders in the usual Jiffy bag. All orders are further sealed with sellotape, so no curious family member can tamper with them.
The exception to the above has to come with overseas orders. I am obliged to attach a Customs Declaration to the standard Jiffy bag. This will typically state that the contents are a gift and are, say, 2 glass bead bracelets, weight .01 kg, value nil. I have to sign and date the Declaration and also to put the senders name and address on the back, which I put as RYL, Magdalen House, Eye, Suffolk. I have no way round this even though I know that it is a bit of a giveaway at the recipients end.
But of course anyone, both in the UK and overseas, can always nominate a friend, together with their name and address, to be the recipient if they feel that their order is sensitive from the family point of view.
I hope all this provides some reassurance for those who need it. Your use of the site is your business. So too is how you deal with your own family if this is sensitive. We can only provide the site while at the same time respecting people's privacy so far as we possibly can. We don't judge. We hope we support.
Tony (don't hesitate to PM me if I can help with your particular order if it is a special case of any sort - we're flexible!)
Tony I've had overseas mail from you and never had a problem because I'm careful, but could you not put "Tony, Magdalen House ..." as the address instead of RYL? As "RYL" is quite easily searchable by google etc?

OK Effer, point taken re RYL being identifiable when I write it as part of the sender's address on overseas orders. I will now use my own surname, plus Magdalen House, Eye as the sender's address - and if anyone wants to google me, I don't think I appear!
But, as I said in my last post, if receiving stuff from the shop is at all sensitive then people can surely give us a friend's name and address to send to - or PM me for any special arrangements which may need to be made. We're here to help - promise!
Since the above posts I've sent a couple of overseas orders and simply given the sender's address as my surname, Magdalen House, Eye. I hope this minimises any risk of RYL being identified - just in case the site being mentioned might cause any embarrassment.
