I did it!
I changed my GP. I registered with a new practice this morning. :)
This is a huge step for me in self care and self respect, and taking care of me and my recovery in a way that works for me and is comfortable and healthy.
I'm proud of myself.

Captive and blind by the darkness around
Each wave a promise, a new hope reborn
Sunrise consoles at the break of dawn

What will you do if you don't like what this one says either? I presume you addressed your concerns and problems with your last GP before changing? (after she got the letter from ED obviously).

It's not like that - the previous one's general way of managing things wasn't helping - and this was consistent over 7 or 8 months. It's not a matter of 'not liking' what she said. Mind actually advise me to make a formal complaint. Everyone I spoke to face to face advised me to change, backing up my decision. Some GPs are suitable for those with MH issues and some aren't. I'm pleased with my decision, everything about it feels right for me, and I won't let criticism cloud that.

Thanks. :)
It looks like I'll be trying different ones to begin with until I settle with one.
Mind you, they also have a visiting MH nurse attached to the practice, to which the GP has to refer me. So I'll get the GP I see on Wednesday to decide what is best from my ED GP care plan - or we'll decide together. Negotiation was something my previous GP couldn't/didn't do.
