Gonna run out of meds

I'm no really sure what to do. I am on Clozaril which requires the perscriber to register to give the med and regular blood work. As of last Monday he was not registered and said he would call me. I tried to call him but his answering machine is full. I'll run out in the next 3-4 days and it won't be good. I'm just not very assertive and don't know what to do.

i'm not sure what to suggest, i'm just going to stress that it is very important that you do get your meds.
Clozaril is a nasty one if you miss even one dose.

Is there an alternative doctor you can call?

could you ask at the ED? they might be able to find someone who can prescribe.

I am aware of the seriousness of missing clozaril. my previous doctor could probably do it but he only works one day a month and I work for the hospital so I avoid the ER at all costs plus I feel it is neccesary to stay under the radar with the new law that pretty much blacklists anyone recognized as having a serious mental illness.

keeping up with your meds and staying stable is more important. sorry to be blunt. i am also on this med and i know it's horrible being judged but you can't let that get in the way of your treatment.

Sometimes i need someone to be blunt with me so thank you. If i cannot reach my doctor tomorrow I will go to the emergency room in another county. I know I'm a mess after missing one or two doses. i know that just running out will probably land me in the hospital anyway.

My psych cancelled all his apointments today due to weather and his answering machine is still full. I'm going there in person tomorrow.

AHHHHHHHH! I planted some more seeds today so hopefully one will grow into a clozaril flower. My doctor forgot that he was supposed to handle this situation. My bloodwork was sent but never arrived. The free clinic may be able to help me tomorrow with getting a script. Some other doctor in the building said that he could not write me a script but would speak to my doctor about the medication and how important it is for me to not run out. Have not called the ER yet, I'm afraid that calling ahead will not guarantee anything and it may be a huge waste of time. So frustrated.

f doctors! I am trying so hard to advocate for myself and fix this. I'm freaking out and I haven't even run out of meds yet. My psych told me in person that his phone was fixed and I called to hear a message not to come in on the 19th due to snow, the answering machine is still full. I really can't call the free clinic for at least a few more hours. I tried to call the ER and they said they can't even talk to me over the phone and to call my primary doctor. Their office said to wait for a nurse to call me back. I'm so frustrated and running out of options. This is not good.

not sure of the time difference but what time does your doctor close? if it gets close to closing time can you give them another ring?

the nurse called and heard my situation and will call back if they can fill the script.

Free clinic just called and I can pick up my scripts. I might have to find a better psychiatrist after all this though.

great news. sounds like you need the psych to be a lot more organised. maybe let them know, see if they do better next time.

I don't know, forgetting about things that I keep reminding him of, and being unavailable for an entire week for not listening to his messages is a real issue.
