health care assistant, at work....

hi, i'm a health care assistant and i work in a challenging behaviour unit. I am constantly being hit, punched, kicked, spat at and verbally abused. I don't blame the service users i blame the management for lack of support, most of these people i look after are a lot bigger then me and some times i feel like a rag doll. I explained to the manger that i was struggling a bit and i have been to hospital 4 times in the last 6 months due to incidents that have happened at work and that i think i needed a bit more training on challenging behaviour and she turned round to me said she didn't think i could cope mentally and physically with the job.
i was really frustrated and angry i told her to stick the job where the sun don't shine. She made me feel so stupid and worthless, i really can't get over it, can't believe it happened... Sorry just needed to let that out.

I'm glad you you found a way to let your frustration out, your boss sounds like they have completely forgotten what it's like to be on the front line.

Thank you. I think she has forgot, but won't be there for much longer now so should be ok soon.
