Told a Teacher...

so i have been a cutter for over 2 years now this school year i have became close with a teacher and since about september i have stayed after with her everyday shes like my 2nd mom well about 2 weeks ago the school found out about my cutting and called my mom and had a big meeting about it with my consuller afterwords i stayed after with my teacher like i always do i told her what was going on but now im scared she will tell my mom she knows.... any advice? please help im reslly scared right now....

try and take some deep breaths and calm down. things will probably turn out fine...

i'm a bit confused. doesn't your mom know about your harming already? from the meeting... or are you worried that she will find out that you told your teacher?

i think that it is great that you have someone at school that you trust so much. i hope that your mom will be able to see that too, and realize that sometimes parents, no matter how much they love us or care, aren't always the best people to talk to.

It's great that you were able to tell someone.
If I understood correctly, your mum already knows about your self-harm, and you're afraid your teacher will tell her that she also knows.
If that's the case, why not talk about your concern with your teacher, explaining that you would rather like her not to tell ?

yes my mom does already know but she doesnt like anybody else knwing and mrs. pipes the teacher i told said she wuldnt say anything to anyone since the school already knows but it still makes me nervous.... i mean what if she does say something.....

how are things going?

your teacher sounds trustworthy, and i can't see any reason that she would be forced to talk with your mom unless she knew that you were in more immediate danger... in which case she could probably direct you to the counselor, who could talk with your mom...

I know how you feel, I just told my teacher last week aswell. My mum doesn't know about my cutting or anything. I finally got the courage to write it all down and give her it. It's not easy, but she has started to help me by getting a councillor and letting me out of class at anytime. Please keep me updated! Pm me if you need, I love messages..they make me feel popular;)!

Thanks for all your support. She hasn't told anyone, including the school or my mom, and i have now been able to tell her everything that has happened. It has actually really helped. Just wanted to give yall an update!

It really helped me aswell, she knows how "emotional" I just and stuff, she knows why...the teacher I told is like a second mom/mum too me:')
