How can someone keep a job as supervisor if they don't know what you do? If they spend most of their time sitting in someone else's office talking about nothing related to work?
Seriously?
My boss has sat in someone else's office for so long and on so many days the 2nd person from the top in my office has made complaints to include 'we don't pay her to sit there and talk to **** all day'.
She has actually used the phrase 'I don't know what you do all day' verbally and in writing regarding me. It's gotten to the point where she makes me write a log of what I do all day every day for the last 3 weeks and counting...
She claims it's because people complain that I'm at my desk all day playing on the internet. When she first made that claim I had me emails running in the background so technically I was 'on the internet' throughout the day. she told me if that was the issue to close the browser unless i'm on break or lunch and so I have and still today she emailed me to ask for the logs she told me to keep. She sees all the boxes if stuff I've gotten sorted and listed and moved and such but she still apparently thinks i do nothing all day. the top person in the office has said i did a wonderful job and she was impressed at how quickly i got her what she needed and others have said good things like that to her and it seems the more well people say i'm doing the more she reacts negatively. the more my office is caught up the less she thinks i do and the more she says i don't work... how else does she think it gets done? monkeys fly out my ass and do it for me?
on another note about being or not being at my desk i didn't even turn on my computer for 3 days once. she didn't even know the difference. by day 4 i had to turn it on because i had old things to list and sort to box and archive and i can't not use the comp for that. she wants the old stuff out by jan. i have about 50 more boxes to do before that can happen. i get through roughly 5-10 boxes a day if i do nothing but that. then my filing falls behind and she uses that as another excuse to claim i don't do anything. but if i get the shelving done she freaks out about the old stuff.
i just can't ****ing win!

sorry but i had to let it out. i tried to keep it nice and not get too deep into the problem...
and yes i've talked to my union. she keeps using loopholes so they can't get her on things.
i plan to talk to people in a higher up office than I'm in and see if they can do something about it.
and yes i've been trying to get a new job too
