On Friday morning I took my a/s's, just my daily dose, then found I couldnt stop. I started to feel very sick, sleepy, dizzy, blah blah blah. Called hubby a few hours later asked him to come home and help me to the hospital or at least the docs. He wouldnt, said I was fine. Had work to do.
Still felt like crap Saturday morning, so had to practically beg him to take me to the docs. He rang NHS direct instead. They said to get me to hospital, which he wasnt happy about cos he had to prepare work stuff for today. Nice huh?
Anyways, had lots of tests and I'm ok. Spoke with the pychiatrist and I have to attend the day hospital everyday for a while.
I just wanted some support if possible please. Hubby really doesnt give a damn. Kerry, my daughter is being amazing and is taking care of my meds for me.

Oh hun, I'm so sorry you're having a rough time. Any idea what lead you to OD in the first place? That really sucks that your husband isn't being more supportive, but well done on insisting on getting to hospital and getting help. I really hope the day clinic helps you too.
I'm glad you've got your daughter to help you. Remember you've got lots of peole on here who think you're awesome and will always give you hugs and support if you need. Stay safe. Love you.

Thanks guys. Day hospital is gonna be tricky. I will see pdoc for one hour a week, and the rest of the time, 6 days, I have to spend it there socialising. I dont know what to do. I do socialise. I just wanna see a pdoc for crying out loud! Why cant I have one without the other???????

I know some places uses day hospital as a way of admitting someone without admitting them to a ward, if that makes sense. So they think you need the therapeutic environment closer to hand if it is needed, but not as much as a section.
It may be worth mentioning to them that you are not keen on the social part? To then discuss any other options?

Thank you all. Day hospital wasnt working, but I have been referred to a pdoc for meds assessment so not all bad. I havent seen one in ten years!!

Hi guys. I'm doing ok I think. Saw a psychiatrist for the first time in 10 years, and they are putting me on lithium in the new year. My case worker wants to chat with my hubby, daughter and me together, but hubby aint really up for it. Great huh?
