scared/nervous...

because i'm finally feeling like there IS a problem, that the new medication IS helping, but i might have to stop taking it if the blood tests don't come back ok. i don't want that, to go back to a reality where everyone is against me, where the only way out is death. i wan't to get better.

please any words of reassurance or setting me straight, i would be very grateful, i'm twisting myself in knots worrying about the bloods coming back next week.

Are you on clozapine?

I am quite sure that only 1-3% of people taking clozapine can develop proper agranulocytosis while they are being treated. Usually if your white blood cells drop to a borderline low level, they just observe you more closely and do more frequent blood tests until everything's alright.

I hope that you'll be ok.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

Good luck! I hope everything works out okay! It's very unlikely you'll have to come off your meds so try not to worry too much :) x

Good luck, I'm glad you've found meds that help, and I hope you are allowed to stay on them.

Even if not, there will be other meds you can try.

Best of luck.

I am so glad you have found a medication that works for you. It is good that they are keeping an eye on your bloods, but do try not to worry too much.

Even if the clozapine is causing a problem with your bloods, it could be that they will adjust the dose, or that they now know what type of medicine works for you and there are alternatives available along the same line. As others have said, it is rare for it to be a big issue, so most likely they will just monitor you for a while.

*safe hugs*
