Freaking out *Updated * Interview
Currently freaking out. Crying hysterically. Rocking. Feeling like a bad girl. Need something. Not sure what. Maybe grounding? Maybe self inflicted harm. Already did some. I need sleep. Sorry.

Can you identify what it is that is freaking you out? Is there any way you can distract yourself, like doing something nice for yourself?
Sorry I don't have anthing useful to say, but I hope you managed to stay safe and get some sleep.

Hey everyone. thank you for the kind words and hugs and support. i am feeling much better now. my bf and i got into an argument that night and i didn't handle it well. it was just one of those regular arguments that all couples get into, but because of my past, i react like it's the end of the world. after lots of tears and some sleep i was able to calm down and get my head on straight.
i think this was all compounded by the fact that i have a job interview tomorrow. it will be my first interview since i have been out of the hospital. it has been a full year since i have worked and i am a bit apprehensive about how it is going to go. part of me really wants to get on with my life and move forward and part of me is scared to do that and wants to **** things up and stay in the familiar territory.
any kind words of support for my interview tomorrow would be appreciated.
thanks everyone.

I am a special education teacher and i will be interviewing for a teaching position in the public school system in a town nearby. this class that i could potentially teach is for students that have autism. it's a big deal.
i saw my therapist just now and she helped ease my nerves a bit. i have to remember that i know how to teach. there is not really anything in this interview that they can ask that i don't know. and i have to try to remember that all i need to do is my best.....which is really hard for me. perfection is what i strive for. even as unrealistic as it is.
i have shaky hands and i hope that doesn't get too out of control tomorrow.
also have to remember that the outcome is out of my hands. i just have to show up and do my best. yikes. nervous.

thank you all so much for your support.
i can't tell if it was good enough or not. they both seemed nice. the principal of the school remembered me from an interview last year, which i hope is good. i am trying to remain positive about it. i did what i think is my best...and trying to remember that my best is good enough. its hard.
i won't know what the result is until the end of this week/beginning of next week. and of course i will be away on vacation next week so that makes matters a bit complicated if i were to get a callback.
oh...and i smelt like a petunia. :P

I don't usually post much on here, just read, however just wanted to say hope your interview went well. I'm also a special education teacher and teach in a school for kids with Autism. I don't know you but think you'd probably make a great special ed teacher by having an understanding andy an empathy for difference and difficulties that others may not. Good luck!

thank you everyone for your support.
today i am feeling a bit worried that my best isn't good enough. i feel worried that i really may not get this job and will spend another year unemployed. i can't wait for the news. either way they will let me know. if i get a phone call it will be good. if i get a letter it is bad news. it is really hard just waiting.

You went for the interview and did your best which you should feel proud of. Good luck and I hope you get news about it soon. Even IF it doesn't work out there will be other opportunities, but right now you should feel proud that you went to the interview after being off work and yes your best is good enough.
I hope you enjoy your vacation.x
