I never used to be a texty person. I always find it easier just to pick up the phone and call someone. But as of late, I've become one of those horrific slack-jawed, glued to a phone teenagers.
I was just wondering, how many texts normal people send and/or what is reasonable in your eyes? Mostly because I need to change my contract (I'm currently on my parents company contract and go through the text allowance for four people on my own every month) and am trying to work out how much is actually feasible to cut down to.
My contract gives me 'unlimited' (read 3000) texts every month, and I never reach that. I think the most I've ever used is about 2000, but that was a bit of an extreme month.
What suits you is what suits you. So if you know you are going over the limit by four times, then get one that is equivalent to that.
Like above I get 3,000 a month (not quite unlimited then is it??) and I don't usually send more than 1,700. Well I did once send like nearly 2,000 but a lot of them were like one word texts.
Is it possible to get a contract that gives you the amount of texts that you send now? The SIM card only deals are epic for giving you loads of texts but you still get a reasonable amount of minutes as well.
I have a SIM-only contract, which suits me perfectly. I had no need or desire for anew phone, and don't like being tied into the same deal for ages. I have managed to change my minutes several times. I'm now on unlimited texts, 900 mins.
I get unlimitied texts....no idea how many a month it is.....this it'll be more like the 9999 above tbh. It differs how many texts I send a month....I think over the last year I have started to send a LOT more.
i get 300 texts a month, i'm on pay as you go, dunno how many i use, but have used 284 texts since the 3rd :/

See... my mother claims MY text usage is excessive! I use (apparently) on average 45 texts per day, that's not even 1,500 a month! I'd say that's more than fair :p
^lol. Perhaps that in comparison to how many she sends a day? Mine sends about 3 a day. Or maybe you just need to develop your ninja texting skills so she doesn't see? :D
Me and my boyfriend text each other through the day every day...for the past 2 years...hmmmm so I guess thats a fair amount and I text my parents quite a lot,

But only if I top up 30 a month.
But sometimes I only have like 600 texts a month
then I have to buy the unlimited bundle
Cause thats enough for like, a week.
And that would never last for a month EVAR.
