I stupidly looked up the signs, effects and symptoms and I have 57 of them. Plus today when I was weighed, I had gained so the lady said she would write out a meal plan for me but I know that I'm going to find it hard to follow since I don't eat many fruit or vegetables and I know that's what she will put on it. I've continued to gain weight the past 3 or 4 weeks and I can't do this anymore. I think I will ask my new GP about it and see if he diagnoses me with it. I've always had a problem with my eating but it seems to be much worse the past couple of months.
can you tried and find new ways of eating fruit and veg. often on their own they dont taste great but if you cook them and marinate them with some chicken it cann b tasty.
are you going to see the GP - they will be able to get you help from a dietician and have proper meall plans put in place.
i wont lie it is hard work to follow any meal plan when strugging to keep a healthy diet but it can be done and is a good idea
Yeah I'm seeing my GP on thursday to get some test results so will bring it up with him. I can eat them smothered in gravy but that's not probably ideal either and as for fruit, I can only eat it with cereal.
Well you making the first important step by intending to bring it up with your GP so well done. What about things like fruit in smoothies with low fat milk? Hopefully your doctor will have some more suggestions. All the best with it, let us know how you get on?
"Recovery is something that you have to work
on every single day and it's
something that doesn't
get a day off."
I had actually forgotten about this thread. I'm seeing my GP again tomorrow for some other reason and will make a note of this to bring it up with him. On monday I was able to eat some vegetables for the first time in ages and I felt okay after it.
Good luck with your GP!
Try mixing stuff with your vegetables. They taste a lot better.
I'm not sure I can post this stuff here, but you can mix celery with mustard/hot salsa (it's really good) or put condiments on vegetables.Boiled brocolli is really yummy, you should try it.
You can buy me with a coffee,I'm so cheap. Got bitten fingernails&a head full of past;Got a broken heart&your name on my cast.
&&I wanted her to tell me that she will never wake me.
I didn't actually get to ask him about anything else other than asking if my meds need to be increased and if I need to be on a mood stabiliser but I will make sure I ask him next week as I think he wants to see me weekly.
I went to my GP on Thursday and showed him the 57 things of what I think I have and he said to write down everything and to come back in 2 weeks and he will talk about it then. Now I'm scared of actually getting a diagnosis.

Help is on the way: Support for individuals, couples and families in the community.
The Psychology Clinic has developed a specialised therapy program, the Mindful Moderate Eating Group (MMEG), for women experiencing difficulty with binge eating. Binge eating is characterised by an individual feeling as if they have lost control of their eating behaviour and this results in the person consuming large quantities of food, despite not being hungry. Binge eating can also be a characteristic of the eating disorder, Bulimia. Those with binge eating disorder tend to feel embarrassed and guilty about their eating behavior and they may be using food to help cope with difficult feelings, such as depression and anxiety. The Mindful Moderate Eating Group addresses the psychological factors behind binge eating in a small, supportive environment and helps women develop a new relationship with food. Program Details
The Mindful Moderate Eating Group (MMEG) runs for 3-hours once a week, over 10 consecutive weeks. Groups are primarily run on a Saturday morning to suit members. Program Fees
There is a $400 program fee to participate in MMEG. This includes the cost of group therapy each week, a MMEG reading kit and a mindfulness cd which is used throughout treatment. Options are available to make pay for the group in up to four installments and this can be done by cash, cheque or credit card. Ongoing Support
Upon completion of MMEG members of the group are invited to attend booster sesssions 3-months and 6-month booster after the initial 10 sessions of the group therapy program.. Booster sessions provide MMEG graduates with ongoing support, an opportunity to practice the skills and a venue to share their challenges and their successes since completing the program.
