Burger King was pretty grim.

Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.

My worst job was when I used to sort through dirty clothes and make piles for the differnet colours.

Working at my dads work. He delivers laundry to hotels. I had to work in the factory - putting napkins/teatowels/pillow cases on a conveyer belt for 8 hours a day.

Starting at 6am.

That was the worst 2 weeks ever.

Probably the newspaper rounds I did, though my last cleaning job was a borrreee, and no one likes cleaning urinals. Men cannot aim.

I didn't much like having to dress up in a bear suit at build a bear either, the rest of it was fine though.

This isn't actually too bad.

But, when I went to volunteering (with cats), and the man gave me a tablet and said "This is for Bruiser. It's not oral".

And, believe me. Bruiser is as he sounds.

Oh, wow, you worked at Build-A-Bear? That place is so freaky! I mean, knickers for teddies? Really?! After a visit, I used to have to go next door to Ann Summers to regain my equilibrium.

Landscaping, most days were great other than the two days we had to clean out a ditch that was full of run off from the hill behind it and horse manure. The first day it rained earier in the day and the second day it rained the entire night before. So it stunk and got everywhere. The three people working all turned a nice lovely shade of brownish gray.

student nursing assistant. all day I wiped up poo and bathed the elderly. That's all I did for a semester. *shudders*

My current job as a stockroom assistant. Its not that bad at all really, but its just very repetitive, practically factory line style work;
stripping the clothes from the plastic wrappers, tagging them, hanging them and cubing them... And you don't get to sit down even though you're just standing in the same place for hours at a time ¬_¬
Also the amount of health & safety guidelines that are ignored is quite silly, I nearly got crushed by a crate of boxes just the other day.

God I miss Waterstones. That place was just beautiful in comparison.

Umm...well, probably being the mascot for state farm during the summer (the good neighbor). So stinkin' hot in that suit.

Tell them to look up. Tell them to remember the *stars*. The stars are always there. We miss them in the dirt and in the clouds. We miss them in storms. Tell them to remember Hope. We have Hope.

my current job as a housekeeper/laundry person in a personal care home. I get to clean the clothes and linens of old people after they poo/pee/vomit/spit/get pureed food all over themselves. If I'm not assigned to doing that I get to clean their toilets, dust, vacuum, and mop for 8 hours a day. I actually get to do that in 7 hours. I'm sooo excited.

My old job at a Disney store. I had to listen to Disney soundtracks ALLLLL DAY. Plus, dealing with middle-aged women in Winnie the Pooh overalls fighting over things like the last 101 Dalmations collectors plate because "OMG IT'S LIMITED EDITION!"

Seriously. It was lame.

Supply teaching [like Jack, only you call it substitute teaching over there.]

Deptford in the snow was worst.
Closely followed by the miracle of getting out of Dalston Kingsland in one piece with all my possessions. [strangely the school there was fine, just the area was slap bang in Crime City].
Brixton [agency said it was Herne Hill...] was pretty grim too.

And just the general whole job... situation. Getting work in dodgy areas at short notice, getting lost getting there, having the kids and staff treat me like a non person.
The only good thing was the pay.. except work wasn't consistent, and there was no work or pay in school holidays. And by the end I was turning down so much work, and not being 'available' because, well, by then I was really pretty unwell, and the work wasn't helping any by a long stretch! It was basically get paid £100 a day to get abused. No ta.

It was only a Saturday job so at least I wasn't full time, but those 9 hours just going "bleep....bleeep.....bleep" were horrendous!
