Therapist
I'm just distancing from my therapist, she wants me to disclose everything, and I told her a bunch, but she's just not happy with it and I just can't handle the pressure. I feel myself resenting her for pressuring me, I can't deal with this right now. I'm not sure what to do, I can't switch therapists again

I have told her that I'm very very unsafe and don't feel like this is the time to be pushed like this. She isn't listening though, maybe I need somebody who's more specialized in depression? I just am TIRED of switching therapists!

I think that if she is not listening to you then it would be worth switching therapists, because i know it might be hard for you to switch but you might get a better one who actually understands rather than just saying they understand and then you might be able to talk to them...so in the long run it might be better for you.

Tell her again how you feel, write it down maybe even. You don't have to change therapists, I think you just need to press it to her until it gets through that you aren't up to talking about certain things at the moment. OR ask her why she feels it is beneficial to talk about that right now. Ask if she's on a time limit or something and trying to get it all out before the sessions are up. It could be something as practical as that.

Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants, what your parents want. What do you want?

Thank you for the advice, I am still unsure of what I should do though.
It's hard because my mom has the same therapist and loves her...

your therapist is breaking major boundary rules and if they were found out they could be reprimanded. its unethical for one therapist to see two family members. is there a valid reason why you're both seeing this particular therapist?

Because my mom was getting good results from her and I had just gone through 3 therapists in like 3 months. So I was so hopeful that if she worked for mom, then she would work for me.

I'm still seeing her, I was really upfront with her that I can't handle intense therapy right now without feeling like I have somewhere to go to, and so it's going to be more about coping skills until I get into the day program.

that kind of contract is more workable (the issue being that the therapist unwittingly transmits stuff between family members and this impacts on clients potentially without the therapist realising it)
really good that you have found the strength and courage to put yourself forward and seriously well done for keeping faith in yourself after going through therapists. this can be so disheartening but doesn't mean anything about the client
i hope you find a therapist on the programme that really works for you :)
