It is an anti-psychotic which is also used as a mood stabiliser. If you look at the info leaflet in your prescription, it will show that it is used as an AP but also for bipolar as a mood stabiliser.

It's ok. I still get leaflets in my meds even though on weekly dispense, I assumed that they have to.

Yes it is used for mood stabalizing, but not just for bipolar disorder for any kind of mood disturbances. I was on this but stopped taking it about 2 weeks ago (long story, wont explain as it's not important.)
I found it quite helpful, it leveled my depression but didn't send me on a mental high like anti-depressants did. Hope you find it helpful

Yes its as everyone else said, used as a mood stabiliser too. I'm on it for that purpose, (and to stop me going hypermanic on my AD).

i've been on seroquel since august last year and my psych says it is used as a mood stabiliser. it is used for a range of mental health issues too. it makes you drowsy when you first take it but after a while it's not so bad.

Yeah its used off label as a mood stablizer as well as an antidepressant and anti anxiety drug. I was recently put on it while in the hospital. I don't really know how its working as a mood stablizer but so far has been the best drug I've used for depression.
