Hearing things...

Hey, so I'm going to ask a really weird question and hope it's allowed here.

It doesn't happen all the time, but it does fairly often, when it's quiet and I'm alone. I hear this strange noise, it's almost far away, and it's not clear.

The best way to describe it is almost like...a radio station you can't tune in because of static...from a mile away. It's faint, and not quite there, but it's definitely there. Which I know doesn't make the slightest bit of sense, but maybe someone will know what the hell is going on with my head.

I have severe long term depression and suspected BPD (my GP reckons, anyway...I'm still having trouble getting in with a psych after what happened last time...but I think he hit the nail on the head when he suggested it, reading up on it I totally agree.) if that helps.

I hope this is okay to post here. Thanks in advance. x

Do you see a counsellor? I would definately tell them about this.
Hugs.
How do you feel when it happens?

See I cannot feel this, not matter how you try and in the real world, there's no goodbyes.

Stare at the hands, you know you want to ;).

I know this may sound a little odd but I have tinnitus pretty much all the time (it's only mild) but it's more apparent when it's quiet. I'd definitely go to the GP and ask them about it.

It reminded me of this which a lot of people hear.
Also as Sharlie said it could be tinnitus. Worth asking your GP as it could easily be something physical and not something psychological.
