(forgive typing, in a mess)
iI hope this can stay neutral and just looking for help in making it 'better'
ok..some people find the Creative Corner a dispaly of 'how bad i am", over dramatic..thats fair enough. thats how they find it..some find it very helpful to wirte how they are feeling or maybe write what they know/have experiwnced in life so far as a threapeutic means..so maybe if we can come up with a way of labelling the submissions we can avoid the hurt or perceived (and real) hurtful/aggressive comments?
can we change the lablelling of posts?
as was suggeste4, along the lines of;
'wanting/loking for helpful suggeastions ' with the understanding you may recieve negative ones
'just to share' ( no critism on how to make better/etc)
and i dont know what else, if any is necessary betond that???

Reason: Just making your post a little more readable
Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her;
If you can bounce high, bounce for her too,
Till she cry "Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover,
I must have you!"

1. Therapeutic. Feedback welcome.
2. Therapeutic. No feedback.
3. Artistic. Feedback welcome.
4. Artistic. No feedback.
5. Open. Feedback welcome.
6. Open. No feedback.
Where "therapeutic" means you mainly posted to share an expression of your feelings for therapeutic purposes - ie, having it read and what you expressed discussed.
Where "artistic" means you posted mainly to share a piece of art you have created - ie, having it seen on it's artistic merits.
Where "open" means you had a mixed or open intention in posting it, and wish it to be seen in either a therapeutic or artistic context, or both.
Where "feedback" means discussion of the piece according to the label, and "no feedback" means you don't mind comments, but do not wish the piece to be discussed beyond acknowledgement that people have seen it.
People who want NO comments of any kind should probably be posting in R&V or as private journal entries.
Of course people would be free to leave their own instructions instead, so long as they are clear.

AN: here is a short story i wrote. i'd like some feedback on the content/spelling and grammar.
or
AN: I drew this last night. Just thought I'd share, would like to know what you think, but don't want criticism - it's a personal piece not to be improved.
?
Too many labels (along with the 'SI/abuse' ect ones) get confusing.

As for the idea, it's ok, but I think with labels is there is a box where people choose them which is like a reminder, rather than them just writing something at the start of their work. I think people would forget, or be far too vague, such as people are currently writing "tell me what you think", when actually they don't want to know what people think critically, rather th an emotionally. It'd only work if people could be relied upon to ensure they did it.
The CT at the moment is working on a new set of trigger labels/tags. One of the ones for the CC is Constructive Criticism. This label has been in the works for the past 6 months.
