Triggering (SI) - maybe im just attention seeking

its been a long time, well nearly eight months. why so suddenly today do i feel the urge to si. cant really explain it but usually i have a drink and the urge goes away. i dont want to drink as staying of it until the end of the month. maybe cos im not drinking im tring to find something else to do. i dont want to but i got butterflys excited at the thought. dont know why ive even written this in here. think im just attention seeking.thinking i should have just moved it to my blog then if people wanna read it they can and if they wanna reply, otherwise i feel im just wasting your time

I am currently:

You are not wasting our time and I agree with you, Probably as you are not drinking you need something to fill the gap. Well done on that by the way. Is there anything positive you can do? Do you like to read, write, go for a walk..anything until the urge passes

*hugs* you're not attention seeking or wasting anyones time. I know it's difficult, especially when you feel low, but people are here to listen.

Well done on not doing it for 8 months, that's so good. To stop SI'ing we put other coping mechanisms in place. If you say having a drink helps, then it could be that that's become another way of coping. Well done for trying to stay off that till the end of the month too, it's not easy. Focus on the eight months, and try putting other coping mechanisms in place if you can. Like crystalheart said, going for a walk, writing, playing computer games, reading, calling a friend... something you enjoy doing that will keep your mind/hands busy.

Take care and PM me if you want to chat
