Jobs - am i asking too much?

I have been job hunting again and i'm feeling completely frustrated. I'm not really fit for work but needs must when the devil drives.

Anyway that is beside the point why is it so hard to find something that is 9-5? I have commitments some evenings and during the weekend everything seems to need a driving licence or prior experience or is shifts at bizarre hours in places you can't get public transport to I want to scream or cry or both I really don't know what to do. Am I going to have to give up everything to work? The things I do in the evening and at the weekend are all I have managed to hold on to keep me going out the house, I have to drag myself to them but they are what keeps me from just giving up

this is probably a totally pointless post

I agree, I would do anything to work 9-5, my job is shifts and my hubby works evenings so makes child care near impossible. Im convinced local councils are the way forward but i've had no luck

well i do have the kind of job you seek - but its awful! i work for a leading life and pensions company and the hours are good - the earliest you start is 8, the latest you finish is 6. you will only work one saturday morning out of 4. the pay is alright.

its just i am signed off at the moment with PND.

Something like a 'receptionist' might be good - should be 9-5 hours (or there abouts) & experience isn't always necessary - but then the pay could be wa*k....

actually I'm not being much help am I...

I know its a wonderful world.
