Just a question
When the form mods move a post it is still visible in the thread, still pushing other peoples posts down, and still clickable. So what is the reason for moving them? I'm just curious.

The link that is still clickable can often expeire after a certain about of time for example after an hour or after a day. Also by putting it in the correct forum we aim to stop people from becoming triggered by reading a thread in the wrong forum which may trigger them.

exactly.
and its still viewable so that if anyone had replied to it before it got moved, and wants to catch up on it, they know where to find it.
It doesnt push other peoples posts down, as no one can reply to it, so it cant get bumped.

Ah, okay this makes sense. Especially about no one being able to reply to it. Thanks, I was just curious.

do you think in cases where it could be triggering - the 'moved' link doesn't say where it has been moved to, there could either be an added or standard label such as 'moved *potentially triggering material* or something along those lines?

I think if you click the thread title, it takes you to the thread, regardless. But the moved symbol just lets people know that it didn't belong where it was posted.

As I think Kim mentioned, these "moved links" can expire. So if it was a busy thread that many people may be looking for, it can be set on a long time before it expires, and it can be set appropriately at the mod's discretion.
Mand, I'm not 100% sure what you're getting at, but from the jist of it we don't have capabilities to do that, unfortunately. It would be something that would have to be looked into in a techy way, and is not something we have the option of doing at all at the moment, if I've read what you put in the right way.
& yep, a moved thingy can help to illustrate to people what should go where, as it shows you where it was, and also where it's been moved to if you click the link and have a look.
