Still ignoring this. Got some hate via PR about including what I wasn't reading but screw you I'll do what I like

I also gave this 5 stars

Also finished Helpless by Cathy Glass and gave it 4 stars mainly because Cathy Glass is too smug.

Also had a debrief about Oliphant and gave it two stars, writing a review that made Ali choke on her tea

Currently reading to Black and British by David Olusoga (but accidentally the children's version)

Currently listening to White Tears/Brown Scars by Ruby Hamad

A lot going on there, Jenna! Do you think that Cathy Glass has always been smug or just in her most recent book? Also you are so horrible not sharing keeping caps tips with me.

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

Cathy Glass has always been smug. I do like her books but they do have a ‘I’m so brilliant look at how many children I’ve helped’ vibe.

I did a method in my post where I said 'NO' which I think is easier to work out? That was me helping!

^this! Although honestly she kind of deserves it because she does do a good job, but still. Me and my partner find some of her common phrases so hilarious, especially her obsession with easy-chairs. And how she always has to set the scene and mention her dumb ex-husband.

Does listening to audiobooks count?

I just listened to Night Watch by Terry Pratchett
It's not the first time I've listened to it - I love it! I give it 5 stars

Audiobooks totally count. I'm glad you have a go to story that you love.

Jenna you didn't make it clear enough for my dumb brain.

Yeah it is annoying how Cathy Glass always mentions her ex husband.

Absolutely! I've always got one physical book and one audiobook on the go and I list them both.

So you have to quote people to get caps to work? Sneaky.

It's they/them I think! I've read Melissa, Alice Austen Lived Here and Rick. I liked them all, although they're pretty cheesy. But I don't know if that's kind of just MG novels? Although I guess Ana on the Edge (you've read that right??) is MG too and it's much less sanitised and smiley.

I just said I couldn't read 2 books at once but a factual book and a fiction book is sometimes ok so I'm also reading Women and Girls on the Autism Spectrum - Sarah Hendrickx.
