Louise Allen's books seem to be more event-y than other foster carers. I may in particular be thinking of Billy's Story or Jacob's Story.
I've read Jacob's Story - I find Louise Allen a bit inconsistent? And I get slight "how much of this is actually true" vibes?
Camden - I can't find QUILTBAG or Different Kinds of Fruit second hand so having to give it a miss for now I'm afraid!
I'm back to reading Unholy Trinity and after that I need to read the Eleanor Oliphant book because apparently it's bad and I want to enjoy hating it :P
you're not missing too much! does your library not have them then? wonder if they're not published in the uk.
we started reading house on the cerulean sea at the recommendation of massage human. supposedly there is drama about it so we will see what we think if we can get through it.

You can't always keep it separate.

So the library I've referenced in the past is one that I've made myself to lend to the kids in the group? So if I haven't bought it, the library doesn't have it :P
I did just remember that other libraries exist and searched the local catalogue but no luck there. I think they are American books though and we don't always have those? How To Become A Planet I had to get on ebay as I couldn't find it ANYWHERE and it definitely wasn't a British edition (your books are made different to ours).
I then looked on Gay's The Word (an LGBT bookshop in London)'s website and even they didn't have it!!
I also then researched Cerulean Sea on goodreads and am intrigued by the drama. I shan't say anymore in case you don't want any further thoughts until you read it.
yea that makes sense. there's def been books i've wanted to read that have been published in the uk but not here. so frustrating, especially with ebooks being a thing, you'd think it would make for easier access.
i saw there was drama re the sea book but also did not look it up. was recommended to us by a trans and nd human we trust so will see what we think before trying to become biased either way.

Let me know what you think when you do read it Camden!
Yesterday I randomly decided to write a review of Reasons to Stay Alive which I did not finish reading years ago and have been angry about every since. It was quite cathartic and now I'm ready to move on :P
Also finished The Unholy Trinity which was honestly disappointing.
Need to have a look around and see what I want to read next since I have no current agenda!
Hmm mostly I have just been reading massive amounts of fanfiction but I did just reread two of my comfort books.
Let's Pretend this Never Happened by Jenny Lawson
(Always manages to make me laugh when I am down and having bad days)
Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
(A personal favorite, it just brings me joy and nostalgia)
“I like the stars. It's the illusion of permanence, I think. I mean, they're always flaring up and caving in and going out. But from here, I can pretend...I can pretend that things last. I can pretend that lives last longer than moments. Gods come, and gods go. Mortals flicker and flash and fade. Worlds don't last; and stars and galaxies are transient, fleeting things that twinkle like fireflies and vanish into cold and dust. But I can pretend...”
― Neil Gaiman
I really enjoyed your review of Reasons To Stay Alive, Jenna!
So did I, Lindsay.

Haha, pleased to provide entertainment. I have also written a review of Midnight Library now as well.

I haven't heard of either of these but your reviews make me want to try them!
