Currently Reading: The Burn Journals by Brent Runyon.....for like the fiftieth time. *hugs her book* it practically falls open now, but it's such a good book. Tis his autobiography around his suicide attempt/recovery from it.

good books :)
“The good things don’t always soften the bad, but vice-versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.”
“Nobody important? Blimey, that’s amazing. Do you know, in nine hundred years of time and space I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important before.”
“If it’s time to go, remember what you’re leaving. Remember the best. My friends have always been the best of me.”
I tried to read that and just couldn't keep going about midway through Part 2. I guess it's true what they say; a classic's a book everybody wants to have read and nobody wants to read.
I liked it... it was depressing...but in a good way. Can relate to getting a bit bored of it though...we read it in class though for our GCSEs so I had no choice! lol
I'm reading The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoyevsky and The No. 1 Ladies' Dectective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith. The last one on advice by my mother.
"In a Wonderland they lie,
Dreaming as the days go by,
Dreaming as the summers die:
Ever drifting down the stream --
Lingering in the golden gleam --
Life, what is it but a dream?"
Taken from Alice Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
I am reading A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby. I've not really got into it yet, but I normally find him very readable and my local library doesn't have much that appeals to me.

I have read that, I thought it was good, think it might have been a wee bit slow to begin with but once you get to know the characters(sp sorry!) it gets better. I had never read any of his other books so couldn't compare.
Devil x
You made up your mind to torture mine!
If you read a scar like a book, you will relise the story in which you over look
if i had to pick one book to read over and over again for the rest of my life, it would be A Million Little Pieces. i'm sure you've all heard of it... on the news. or oprah. whatever. haha it's a FANTASTIC book even if it's "all lies". i've read it four or five times now.
i just finished reading, for the third time, Needful Things by Stephen King. it's one of his older ones, and it's a ginormous read. tiny print, really thick book. but it's a wonderful story. never gets boring. never has too much detail. the only problem i have with it is that there are 2984752394762730597048305783082508386 x 10^3067359 characters. even my third time through the book, i was still doing some flipping back and forth to make sure i had the names right. you know how SK is with his characters intertwining... but this is like 'heyyyy make a character chart'. awesome book though. i could just eat it up.
I have to say that H.P. Lovecraft and Chuck Palahniuk are amazing writers and I love everything they've written.
Also: the book "House of Leaves" is fantastic.
Right now I'm not reading anything in particular, but I have a number of books I just purchased, among them The Bible, Matrix Warrior, and Hardcore Zen.
I'm planning on buying some new Lovecraft soon...
"When I was a little kid, my mother told me not to stare into the sun, so when I was six I did..."
I am reading Bodily Harm you may have seen it advertised on v2, I saw it at barnes and noble the last time I went there so I got it for $16, kinda expensive, but oh well, it's informative so far.

Loved that book, great work of fiction. ^^ Got it for like $1 at a rummage sale in almost new condition and now it's slightly worn from me rereading it. ^^
