Figured general was best as it's nothing serious at all! (Feel free to move it if need be)
Basically I'm moving soon, to a rather rough area of Cardiff soon, I figured as I was classed as a vulnerable adult I'd be somewhere alright though.. although I made the mistake of searching for news articles and my address.. Someone very recently got attacked with a crow bar in the cul-de-sac I'm moving too!!
Anyway, I've got pink/black hair atm, and I've been seriously considered going blonde again, just till I can settle in, and see what the areas actually like. I don't really want to draw much attention to myself haha.
But at the same time, I cannot be arsed and definitely feel like I'm just worrying over nothing!! haha.
Plus, I have loads of face piercings anyway, I'd probably be pissing in the wind thinking being blonde will make me invisible haha.
The building I live in now's pretty rough, but in a nice area, and all the people here are lovely to me, I always get compliments on my hair tbf.
I say if you like it the way it is, and want to, then keep it! Especially if you think that you're a bit of a stand-outtish person anyhow. But that's just me.
I would however, just reccomend against loitering about in random cul-de-sacs in the middle of the night. :P

Thanks :) I rarely get sh*t, wherever I go, because I know how to carry myself (for lack of a better word).
If you look meek and mild, you're more likely to get sh*t than if you look like you don't give a crap, and know what you're doing!
No doubt I'll be more aware if I'm blonde, and trying to blend in, than if I'm just myself, pink haired and being able to deal with any knobheads!!
Although I am aware that come the new year I'll hopefully be fostering dogs, and I'd hate to lose that, because for some reason people in the area have taken a dislike to me! That's most of my worries, I can stay in most the time, for myself, but I want to be able to walk a dog safely in the area!
go for a wander around the street youre moving to, go buy a coke in the local shop or whatever, see how people react. if you get loads of **** and feel like you want to dye it, those same people probably wont recognise you again with different hair once you have moved in.

True! Although I've not even been to my new flat yet, council are ****, I'll see it - then move in within a couple of days.
But you're right, if I truly feel i'm gonna be victimised, my main feature is my hair, and going blonde will hide me, as I doubt knobheads are that observant! (If thats what you meant)
Do whatever makes you feel more comfortable, as previously said maybe have a little wonder about and see how you feel. Personally I have seen your hair and I think its epic so my first thought was KEEP it and don't let other peoples opinions etc make you change! However I do understand where you are coming from and if its going to make you feel uncomfortable then perhaps go blonde until you're able to relax a bit.
