If I hadn't started self harming I wouldn't have met my boyfriend. So, in that respect no. Also, it got me through a load of **** that I wouldn't have been able to cope with otherwise. And, at the end of the day, it's made me a stronger person.
But I do regret not stopping when I could have. So I'm doing that now :)
I said yes, but now i wish i'd said other...cause when i first look at myself i think yes cause of the scars, like there always there to remind me, and i thuaght of the number of people i have lost becasue of self harm but now i'm thinknig no, cause it's bought me closer with a few people and them people are some of the best people in my life, and if i didnt sh i would of never found ryl :( :D so it's a bit of both i guess. But hey lifes short so theres no point regretting the past. x
I don't regret it because I don't believe in regrets at all. It took me through the past years on the path that I'd rather have not trudged along but I met people and I discovered things about myself that I'm not sure I would have discovered otherwise.
I believe that every experiece helps form us and that we should always think positively about them
oh i suppose i do in a way
but also i dont
a lot of things would never have happened if i hadnt started, i suppose its how you decide to look at them.
meh hehe if that made any sense at all it would be nice!
xx
If only you'd ever speak to me
the way you once did
look at me the way you once did
pull to me the way you once did
but you don't
you don't feel anymore
you don't care anymore
it's all gone
it's all gone
yes, because now i got these scars which i feel ashamed about
and yes because it becomes an addiction, and its a very hard urge to shake off when it rears its ugly head
and i'm always in fear when i think i have stopped for good and gone months without it that i'm gonna slip and start resorting to doing it again... which i have a couple of times
I dont regret it. Sometimes I wish it hadnt happened though. Its made me a better person now and I'm more mature than most people my age because of it.
omg I regret it 100percent! I totally wish I never cut myself!
Does anybody know how I feel?
Sometimes I'm numb, sometimes i'm overcome...
Does anybody know whats going on?
Do I have to wear my scars, like a badge on my arms...
For you to see m...I need release...

i said no, because if i hadnt started i honestly dont know if i would be here right now. it is a bad coping mechanism but it is a coping mechanism and it does work and it got me through a lot. i wish that i had a better one, so in that respect i wish i hadnt started, and i would never ever recommend it obviously, but yeah i guess i dont know really
i don't think that i regret starting it really ,it's becoming part of me ,but it becomes hard cuz it's a double-life u know cuz no one knows and u have to make sure noone knows about so it's hard sometimes i regret it but not at the moment

A little angel fell into my arms at the 7th of december 2010
I wish l had never started self harming. There was so many other ways l could have controlled things.
I wish l was as obsessed with it as l am. Although there are possitive points to my self harming, over all l wish l had never started, no one should have to do this to feel like <that>.
No - no regrets where is regreting starting to cut get me.......i'll tell you nowhere!!and if i didn't cut i wouldn't be the person i'm today and would juge tho who do still cut now that i have been there i know what it like to feel all alone. so no regrets!
I don't know. I sometimes wish I had never 'discovered' SI because I feel like it has taken control over too much of my life especially in the past. Having said that I am also not sure that I would be here today without it.
Ok so here's the deal, when I was self harming a lot, I kinda regreted it, but at the same time, I loved my scars, they gave me a since of security, and self injury is what made me feel alive.
but NOW, I see that self harm is what was holding me back from finding things that REALLY made me feel alive, like love, and kids, and the feeling of fluffy carpet on my feet, self harm is not what was keeping me alive, but more what was keeping me from moving on to a better place in my life, what was keeping me from being able to LIVE my life.
So, when I was self harming regularly, no, I very seldom regreted it, but at the point I am at now, I regret every scar on my body, and would give almost anything just to get rid of each and every one of them. Self harm IS a coping mechanism, and until you are ready to move away from it, or have someone to help you move away from it, you arn't going to be able to, but when you are ready to stop...you will know it.
I hope you are all doing ok, PM me anytime.
