Sad film, but also very sweet.

His last film (place promised) just confused me tbh.

Is that the one that just came out? I haven't seen it yet.

Edit: Oh, no this is his most recent film http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Childre...rom_Deep_Below
It's about a girl who goes looking for her father.

Ahhhh not out on dvd i didn't even know about that one, 'the place promised in our early days' was his second film and 'Voices of a distant star' was in the unlikely event you don't already know.
Voices was really sweet but place just confused the hell out of me, maybe i'll try watching it again.

Arrietty
Arrietty is the latest release from Studio Ghibli, based on the classic children’s book The Borrowers. Tiny 14 year old Arrietty lives under the floorboards of an old house with her father and mother. Their peaceful life is dramatically changed when the ever curious Arrietty accidentally allows herself to be seen by Sho, a poorly and lonesome 12 year old human boy. The fledgling friendship between the two lonely children causes Haru the housekeeper to become aware of the borrowers’ existence. The family of little borrowers are forced to choose between staying in their well-established home or leaving for the uncertainty of the great outdoors.
thank you Amazon

never noticed this thread before, but I love anime and manga, my favorite is .hack for the fact it has more to do with storybuilding

Take me away, I just want out from this self-imprisoned self-made Hell. Don't be surprsed, this is your mind coming to life by self-sacrifice. This tragedy of death will walk hand in hand with every thought of regret. Blame yourself for what you've become. The mind is a powerful thing set to self-destruct.

I played the first 2 .hack games years ago and watched the ova that came with them but I've never watched the anime, you'd recommend it then?

It was really good Cait and it reminded me of my neighbour Totoro a lot, I think it's out on dvd now but if it isn't you can probably stream it somewhere

Yeah the G.U. series of games is superior, but there are a few interlapping storyline plots you need both game series for, and the anime is awesome, esp. the roots series.

I'm too sure which series I was playing.

They were on ps2 and released in 4 parts and each game came with a half hour OVA kinda showing what's happening in the real world during the events of the game, I found the story line fascinating but unfortunately the gameplay got very repetitive by the end of the second game so I never bought the last two :p
I think the first game was called infection and the second was called mutation.

I would just like to add I adore Prince of Tennis after watching the show and ovas I read the manga and just love all of it. Also their is another prince of tennis manga that follows the team and they have started making the anime of it so yay I think it already has 2 episodes out.

I just love it although I have heard that a lot of people hate it which I don't get but than again I hate most animes that have to do with boxing so I guess I can understand a bit.

I haven't watched Arrietty yet but I plan to watch it soon.

I woke up into a nightmare.”
