We DID read Ana on the Edge and liked it! Definitely getting the cheesey vibes from most of the middle grade novels we've also read. Good to know thank you!

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

Finished both of these and gave them both 5 stars. If anyone's looking for a belated Black History Month read, highly recommend both. (Apologies Camden, we have BHM in a different month over here!)

Now listening to Pet by Akwaeke Emezi.

I gave this 5 stars and regretted ever giving anything else 5 stars because this was truly something else.

Then I listened to The Henna Wars by Adiba Jaigirdar and gave it 5 stars because the regret above clearly did not last long.

Now I'm reading Open Grave by A.M. Peacock (because I know him irl!!!) and listening to Freshwater by Akwaeke Emezi

I gave this 4 stars because honestly I just wasn't smart enough to understand it all but I know it was amazing. Also trigger warning for like, everything with that book!
I then listened to The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave and gave it 3 stars.

Now listening to Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt.

After seeking advice on how to rate a book written by someone I know I gave this 4 stars!

Also gave this 4 stars. Am trying to moderate my desire to give most things 5 stars :P

Now I am
- reading Detransition, Baby by Torrey Peters
- listening to The Ski Trip by Sarah Clarke.

And I also have a joint audibook on the go with K which will take ages to get through as they prefer listening at normal speed! It's All Her Fault by Andrea Mara.

I have the opposite problem, Jenna. I rarely give 5 stars! Just because Goodreads describes that as 'amazing' and I don't know what constitutes amazing.
