- lovely views of hills and forests on my drive to N
- drove in N without disaster and hopefully without a ticket for driving in the new bus lanes, unlike my mother :P
- started trying to catch up on my rather extensive to do list
- watched the Dumping Ground (there's a whole series I didn't know existed!)
- have now heard from both my tutoring GCSE pupils and they got the grades they were aiming for =D
- someone else said I'm good with mini humans
- nice email from an old colleague
- Enjoyed the subtle Farage/Brexit joke in Holby City from a few weeks ago
Haha, it was indeed Not Nottingham. That will be the new name for the city in question I think!
Today:
- did laundry with moderate cooperation from my washer dryer
- delicious steak with peppercorn sauce thanks to my dad
- highlight of articulate was my sister describing tattoos to me by saying 'you have them on your wrist' (pointing at me) and then realising that that sounded like she was describing scars, made a failed attempt to save the situation with 'oh, you have them in other places too' :P
- tested out listening to an audiobook whilst driving, and it seems to work ok.
The feeling of getting into bed after a long day which involved working 14 hours straight.
Being completely exhausted but not having to set an alarm for the morning.
First complete week as a veggie.
I survived work.
I'm wearing my 'don't let the muggles get you down' PJs.
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
- Went to see KT Tunstall with my friend and her friend on Friday night
- Survived another week of the mini humans, just
- I have a day off tomorrow
- My mum agreed to some things after we had A Bit of a Chat about mentals
- I'm getting a cat in the next few months!
I'm wearing my 'don't let the muggles get you down' PJs.
I bought these today and am now wearing them! *high fives*
Well done on doing ALL the work Lana, I hope you get yourself a treat with the extra monies!

Today:
- went to Not Nottingham and got lots of bits and bobs and an electric piano which I'm super excited about
- got HP themed stuff in Primark, including the aforementioned pyjamas
- Lasagne
- Dutch Blitz/Ligretto (will be super-excited if anyone else has heard of this game!) and Articulate
- listening to Harry Potter audiobook on my drive home.
- starting to feel Autumny.
- ordered my engagement ring!
Oh my goodness how exciting! Congrats!
& yay for autumn, it's the best season!
"I know you're sad, so I won't tell you to have a good day. Instead, I advise you to simply have a day.
Stay alive, feed yourself well, wear comfortable clothes, and don't give up on yourself just yet.
It'll get better. Until then, have a day."
Jenna, we went back 3 weeks ago - Scottish schools have different holidays, although I wish I was still on holiday!
- Had a nice time at Much Ado about Nothing
- My sister is home for a few days before she goes back to uni
- My brother, sister and dad are going to New York soon and promised to bring me back something from Tiffanys
Beautiful text from Jenna
Really enjoying starting to read Birthday Letters (also from Jenna!)
Dancing at a wedding
Good food at the wedding
Everybody looked beautiful and it was a beautiful day.
You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you wish to make.
Fair point :P
Also, I missed your previous post- I loved the cheesy speeches! So nice to see lots of the old cast, though I could barely remember any of their names.
Bracing myself for watching the second half today; hoping for more of the cheesy speeches and less of the mortal peril.
About to watch the second half now. Do they have a new director who likes to ramp up the tension by taking lots of still shots of non- dramatic things like leaves for example? :P

^haha!
I'm nearly finished watching it now. Think I stopped watching a little earlier than halfway, as there was extreme mortal peril just where I restarted.
In medical drama news, Doctors is back today, hopefully featuring very little mortal peril.
Well done for ignoring the calls Lana; was it that man who called when you were here and caused much confusion?
Enjoy Primark; might I recommend the blue converse-style shoes with the Hogwarts logo on! Also, I now want to know if German Primark has different stuff to the UK, so I request jpgs which I know will take 6+ months to be shared with me :P
