A bit frustrated, just back from the Volunteer centre to chase up what's happening with my references for a job and the person I spoke to was useless. They seem to want to make it really difficult, and I only want to help :/
Anyway. Apparently the **** I spoke to is going speak to someone else when they're off their lunch break o.o

they have to make sure a person is there with the best interests to the people they'll serve and also have the skills and abilities they're looking for.
no point taking on a person who can't hack it, it'll just be bad for everyone concerned.

Yeah I'm aware of that but I phoned the centre I want to work for, they said that they're waiting to hear from the main volunteer centre who I consequently visit today and they seem to know **** all about anything.
It's like the NHS, you end up having to do all their liaison for them.
