I am currently:
Triggering (SI) - feel weak

I really feel the urge to cut. I want to claw at my flesh until I bleed. i just feel so shaken for no reason I feel weak and want to get relief from these feelings.
There are no thoughts just feelings. And i feel like they will go away and i will get some peace. I just want them gone. I can barely stop myself from scratching at my arms and face.
i want my knife.

Do you know what set off the urges? Remember, cutting won't make the feelings go away, not in the long term anyway, as hard as it is you need to confront them and try and work through them.

Have you tried distracting yourself? Remember there is always the F&D forum and the arcade if you need to use them. And you can keep talking to us on here.

I am currently:

Hey sweetie you may feel like that is the only option for you to feel better but it isn't. YOu can do this. Just put down the knife. Get away from sharp objects and occupy yourself. Talk to somone, stay on here, go outside, just to something to get your mind off of this. What is bothering you so bad now that you need to hurt yourself? There are other things that can help. Just keep trying and don't give up.

Heya,

It can be difficult to control really intense feelings especially if they're triggering or make you feel triggered *hugs* It can help to write them down and get them out of your mind, maybe try the Ranting/Venting Forum to release some of the tension? Sometimes it can feel like SI gets you back in control of these feelings - but the thing that gets you in control is being able to talk about things so they can be sorted out and you can feel better. Do you know what triggered these feelings today? *cuddles* You can get through this - the urges will pass as you talk it out and distract yourself. Take care,

Heya there *Big hugs* Im sorry that your having severe urges to cut yourself. Do you know what it is thats causing you to feel like this? Has something triggered you? Do you want to talk about what it is thats causing you to feel like this? You dont have to if you dont want to but we are all here for you and we will do our bet to help you. This isnt something that you will have to go through on your own. If you know what it is thats causing you to feel like this then its really not good idea that you keep everything locked up inside you as doing that will only make things worse and could cause other problems. Cutting yourself will also only make things worse.

Do you have any support at all? Such as a counsellor? Is there anyone close to you who you could talk to about how your feeling? Try to keep yourself distracted as much as you can i know its not easy to find distractions that work and that your struggling but there are quite a few distractions to choose from, like listening to music watching a movie, doing jobs to keep yourself busy, posting on the fun and distractions forum going for a walk (during the day time) or you could have a look at the big distractions list which has other alternative distractions you could try http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum...ead.php?t=1403 Things wont be like this forever the urges will pass away and things will get better. Please be gentle with yourself.
