A few years ago I went to New York at this time and saw the beginning of the Rockafeller tree but missed it in all it's glory!

According to facebook the christmas tree has gone up in town. I havent seen it yet.

I have bought my Christmas jumper. It was hard because most are made with wool and I cant wear anything woollen because it makes me itch. It is this one:-

I'm happy to report that last year's Christmas cake, which I referred to earlier in the thread, has survived very successfully in its airtight tin and is now nicely mature in good time for this Christmas ... It might be all down to alcohol!

I visited the German market after work the other day. I love the smells and the tacky carousel lights.

Men are so hard to buy for! Maybe a new CD (do people even do CDs anymore?) of a band he likes, or one he's never heard before in a genre he likes. If he likes eating out, a Tastecard could be good (might just be a UK thing). As I get older I'm increasingly enjoying events more than gifts, so perhaps pay for the two of you to go out for a meal, the theatre, dry slope skiing, laser quest etc.

Or you could do homemade and go for baked goods, home brewed beer (following guidelines) a mix CD/playlist etc.

maybe you could make something for him, an edible xmas present :) there are some pretty good ideas/recipes out there, and you can always add your own "signature" to them and make them extra cute :D

I got my Christmas tree and the ornaments! they are baby blue and red in color, it looks really pretty, I am about to cry LOL

Only a few days left until actual Christmas season starts!

Christmas market in my town started, now just waiting for the first of advent and dec 1st. Which is when I get out my Christmas lights (if I can locate them) and start listening non-stop to the two Christmas CDs I have!

Also very much hope to not do all of my Christmas shopping on the 23rd like usual :P

Lol! We did our's ages ago (October half term) to ply it with alcohol, but that's my official Christmas starting point too, along with the Coca Cola ad, of course!

I am doing some pre-Christmas baking this week. I am making two cakes for my voluntary work's Christmas fair, and then another as a present for my cpn (who I will be only seeing once this year).

We would usually do ours four weekends before Christmas but we were busy last weekend, it's my favourite because all of the ladies from our street all come to our house and we make all our Christmas puddings together and try out Christmas drinks and so on ^_^

Still haven't seen the Coca Cola advert, deprived!

Neither am I! :P

I haven't had an advent calender for yeeeears. I really want one though. Hmm.

I started off being so organized and then life got in the way and now I am massively behind on my Christmas preparation! Oh no.

Just had a sleigh & Father Christmas come to the door. Was unexpected to say the least but we all joined in and the puppy certainly liked the flashing lights!
